Cairn Sculpture, 2021
Part of the installation Phallus Omphalos, 2022.
Photography, size 1000 x 830 mm.

The project ”Borderline (s)” is an artistic investigation of the closed borders between Jämtland (Sweden) and Trøndelag (Norway). Not since World War II the border between Norway and Sweden has been guarded and closed. Suddenly, in 2020, there were police, military, and home guards at the border. Theres K Agdler moved along and across the border between Jämtland and Trøndelag, by ski, on foot, and by car, and document the border crossings artistically. She examined what a border really is (the border as a geographical, physical, and psychological place).  Agdler used a mixture of physical examination, artistic work, and artistic research to investigate the project’s themes.
